The River Ness Islands


Picture Sequence

The river Ness flows through Inverness city centre. A short walk away from the city along the river are some of the most beautiful natural areas in Inverness. The wooded islands in the river are linked by Victorian  footbridges, many species of birds and wild ducks live on these small islands. There are paths which meander around the islands quiet corners where you can sit by the river. during the summer  fishermen casting their flies, ever in hope of catching the elusive wild Scottish salmon.
