Bedroom 3 at Water's Edge
and views from the window & terrace
When first entering this lovely
bedroom the French style furniture creates a sumptuous, luxurious feel and
style. The king size French bed is incredibly comfortable with the finest 100%
Egyptian linen and hand crocheted lace. During the weeks of the early and late
season you can enjoy the sunrise while lying on super soft goose down pillows in
the early morning light, quite a truly wonderful sight to behold. French doors
lead out onto a large private terrace with the most splendid views over the sea,
when the doors are open you can enjoy uninterrupted views from all corners of of
this beautiful room. For your pleasure in the room is a flat screen television,
enjoy viewing satellite channels. There is internet WiFi access, if you do not
have your own laptop we have one for guests to borrow. You can enjoy a welcome
cup of tea at any time, as there is always a wide choice of various teas,
coffees and short bread biscuits. Fresh flowers collected from the garden fill
small posy bowls. The en- suite bathroom has a deep bath, a super power shower
and the under tile heating creates a sensuous warm feeling as your toes touch
the floor. From the window there are splendid views over the sea and gardens,
this combined with fluffy bathrobes, soft sparkling white towels and the finest
Penhaligon toiletries just complete the picture which I am trying my best to
paint of this special room. The terrace is the perfect place to sit and relax
enjoying the breathtaking views towards the Fortrose village harbour and
Chanonry Point, home to the famous Moray Firth dolphins. They can be seen
hunting for salmon very close to the shore, so no need to take a boat ride while
looking for dolphins here. The BBC filmed the dolphins from the shore for their
Springwatch programme with Simon King. On a clear weather day you can see the
sunrise and sunset from the terrace in the early and late months of the year.
Dolphins, seals and if you are very lucky a sea otter can be spotted in the sea
or even in our garden, we have had the great privilege to see him on three
occasions.
